Windows (2022)

What is home to you? A feeling or a place?

When the physical space you call home is suddenly uprooted and removed from your life, it is metamorphosed into a memory which exists within yourself. Before you, there are three windows into my memory of home. Inside each window, there are live fragments of comfort, anxiety, loss; these windows are portals to a subconscious world where my home now exists. Each piece is a connective thread from this reality into a layer of surreality where change and growth are as easy to accept as they would be in a dream. As difficult as change is to comprehend, these works are one step I have taken towards memorializing the past and finding home again.
